THE TARGETED CHOICE FOR COMPANIES SEEKING EXCELLENCE IN WHITENESS

Originally developed by REMIX in Sassuolo, the heart of the Italian ceramic industry, whiteners known under the brand REWHITE® quickly became the targeted choice for many companies seeking excellence in white colour.

The product, in its various formulations, represents the most advanced technological solution as well as an integrated methodology designed for the replacement of zirconium silicate. It seamlessly integrates into the customer's original formulas without altering them, allowing for the achievement of the same levels of whiteness.

Characteristics

LOW OR NON-EXISTENT LEVELS OF RADIOACTIVITY

Health and environmental authorities in many states have imposed restrictions on the levels of radioactivity in ceramic tiles and construction materials in general.

It has therefore become crucial for many countries to replace high-performance raw materials, such as micronized zirconium silicate, with synthetic products of a different kind.

All users of the REWHITE® bleaching agent can benefit from a competitive and stable price over time, another advantageous characteristic compared to zirconium silicate, whose price is subject to periodic fluctuations.

STABLE PRICE

AVAILABILITY AND WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS

The high production and storage capacity of REMIX's facilities guarantee product availability to customers who purchase it, ensuring a prompt response to their needs.

Similarly, they enable the production of a wide range of product shades capable of meeting a variety of identified requirements over time.

The quality of the finished product that uses the whitener as an ingredient is consistent. The dimensional stability of tiles and slabs and the water absorption during firing are controlled parameters, while the colorimetric coordinates a* and b* are equal to the technical specifications of the same product made with zirconium silicate.

Types

REWHITE® WHITENER FOR CERAMIC BODY

The REWHITE® whitener for ceramic pastes has radioactivity levels ranging from 0 to 2.5 Bq/kg. This value is never exceeded to comply with regulations in some non-European countries that do not allow the entry of materials with radioactivity levels exceeding these parameters. Customers can choose from a range of different types of bleaching agents for ceramic pastes, whose radioactivity may be non-existent or within the described values.

The REWHITE® MZ 31 R is an example of a whitener for ceramic pastes that allows for a 1:1 replacement of zirconium silicate, reducing radioactivity by 70% while maintaining the same water absorption and shrinkage values during firing. These elements make the product perfect to produce ceramic slabs.

REWHITE® WHITENER FOR ENGOBE

The REWHITE® from the WG series is an extremely high-performance whitener for engobes, capable of providing a double advantage to those who use it. On one hand, it guarantees the replacement of zirconium silicate within the formulas used for engobe production, and on the other hand, it allows for significant cost savings associated with purchased raw materials.

For these reasons, REWHITE® WG represents one of the best bleaching agents for engobes available on the market.

REWHITE® WHITENER FOR GLAZES

The REWHITE® EW96 is just one of the examples available in the range of whitening agents for glazes.

Specifically, this type has been developed for glazes for the sanitary ware industry capable of surpassing the level of whiteness achievable by any zirconium silicate available on the market. The REWhite® EW96 is recommended when the L* levels of the glaze need to exceed 92.
